Commonly known as The First Flame, Keeper of the Emberhall, and Father Beneath the Mountain
Dulgram is the god of creation through labour, the steady fire that shapes raw stone into purpose, and the hearth that turns shelter into home. He governs the forge, the flame, the craft, and the quiet, enduring strength of those who build rather than conquer.
To his faithful, fire is not destruction, it is transformation. The same flame that melts steel warms a family, lights the dark, and sustains life beneath the mountain.
Among dwarven holds, Dulgram is not simply worshipped, he is lived. Every forge lit, every meal cooked, every tool shaped is an act of devotion. He is present in daily life, not distant in the heavens.
Where other gods demand temples, Dulgram’s temples are found in every working forge and every burning hearth.
“A blade may win a battle, but the forge that made it endures for generations.” — Thorek Emberthane, Forgefather of Thalbuldhar, 0188-2A
The Flickers of The Eternal Flame
1. Craft
Nothing of worth is made without effort.
- Take pride in what you create
- A rushed work is a flawed work
- Mastery is earned through repetition
- Leave nothing half-finished
To create is to honour Dulgram.
2. Fire
The flame must be respected, not feared.
- Fire is a tool, not a weapon of chaos
- Tend it carefully, or it will consume what you value
- A weak fire produces weak work
- A strong flame must be controlled
The forge and the hearth are the same fire, used with different intent.
3. Hearth
Strength is built upon foundation.
- Protect your home above all
- Share warmth, food, and shelter with your kin
- A strong community is stronger than any blade
- No dwarf stands alone while the hearth still burns
The hearth is as sacred as the forge.
4. Endurance
What lasts is what matters.
- Build to withstand time
- Accept hardship as part of creation
- Repair what can be saved
- Stand firm when others falter
Dulgram teaches that endurance is the truest strength.
5. Legacy
What you make defines what remains of you.
- Your works will outlive your name
- Pass knowledge to the next generation
- Teach, do not hoard skill
- Leave the forge better than you found it
Creation is the only true immortality.
Most followers lean:
- Lawful Good
- Lawful Neutral
- Neutral Good
Rarely chaotic. Rarely selfish. Dulgram values structure, community, and responsibility.
Rituals & Traditions
The First Lighting

The Shared Table
Meals taken at the hearth are considered sacred, no dwarf eats alone if others are present.
The Ash Rite
When a dwarf dies, a portion of their ashes is placed within a forge fire, returning them to the flame.
