I am surprised at how much I am enjoying writing in this journal. I should clarify, I am surprised at how much I enjoy aggravating him with the things I write in this journal, it really brightens my day.

What did the pups do this time? A whole host of shit that I would have advised them against if I cared enough. Upon hearing the loud knocks on the fortress' door, some foolish plan was hatched to trick him with Solas' shape changing magic, whilst having the cat and Dwarf hide behind the fucking doors, the pale-elf and his boy pressed against a wall and the ladies dangling right in front of the giants face as he came in the door. Fucking spectacular.

They made it work however, as they have a tendency to do, and brought down the giant even after spending most of the battle trying to keep his mace away from him. Their new pet snake thankfully did most of the work, perhaps they will consider benching the kitty-cat now that they have a more useful animal on the team.

From the giant' body, the group managed to claim a ring of spell storing - an impressive find admittedly - as well as a collection of letters to an individual named Dagarth. The letters indicated some kind of plot to ambush Matriarch [[Selin Ramur]] of [[Mirabar]], which I can tell you for certain would have sparked real conflict within the [[The Coastal Protectorate|Sword Coast]]. With the eastern side of the continent already on the brink of war, we really don't need the western side to also be at each others throats.

The pups decided to spend the night in the castle, I am half surprised they did not choose to claim it for themselves as they've displayed quite the habit for such behaviour. Whilst they did not find themselves under siege during the night, Bibi was once again visited by one of the many things that are hunting her across the continent. They spent most of the next day travelling back south towards [[Triboar]] and made it there in the early hours of the evening. What they then proceeded to do was spend a considerable amount of time going tavern to tavern in search of me, when they could have just as easily sent a message asking me.

Once they found me, all they did was talk and talk and talk. Unloading all their 'interesting' information took longer than I would have liked, but I think I told them what they wanted to hear and eventually they left me alone. Something about an ambush plot against one of the members of the [[Lords' Alliance]], which admittedly would be quite unfortunate, but I told them to take it up with the Baron, since he is the one that would actually care.

They didn't even bother to wait, and went straight over to the [[Triboar Treasury|Treasury]] to find someone to talk to. The Baron wasn't in, and so they had to settle with his right hand, [[Ser Arthur Zovar]]. He was moderately helpful apparently, assuring that he would have some information available in the morning. He was true to his word, and had a scribe at the read to mark on the previously provided map as to where the [[Ruined Heart of Ata|Temple of Ata]] was, so they could act on the intelligence provided by the giants letters.

With the kitty-cat in the lead, the journey to the Temple was easy enough and on arrival they discovered a recently used campsite with tents still erected and the fires warm. It was here that they discovered the other halves of their previous letters, completing the conversation and providing some additional information. The pups pushed further into the Temple, spending some time looking about the Prayer Halls and with the combined efforts of the group and some... guesswork... from Vershan they managed to identify and open the passageway deeper into the stronghold. After a couple of brief encounters with some remnant elementals they moved on to a group of guarding goliaths, who had additional intel on them indicating that they were under the direction of a 'Stormcaller'.

Is that a name? A title? Whatever is it, it feels distantly familiar, as if I would have known it in another life.

What a strange sensation, as much as I loathe reporting to him, this feels worth mentioning.
